Saung Angklung Udjo @Bandung

 

Saung Angklung Udjo founded in 1967 by Mang Udjo and his wife, UUM Sumiati Udjo.

This is where art music Angklung preserved. Udjo name itself is taken from the name of the founder and owner of this place. 

Padepokan establishment is also not free from the help and encouragement Soetigna Mr. Daeng, a figure which is also a teacher Angklung Mang Udjo from.

Angklung is a kind of musical instrument made of bamboo material has a distinctive sound and rhythm. Angklung is a combination of several instruments consisted of bamboo pipes with different sizes and placed in a small frame and shaken to remove noise.

Apart from a very distinctive place with a versatile bamboo ornaments, this place is also surrounded by houses.

Saung Angklung Mang Udjo offer a tourist attraction with Angklung performances and demonstrations featuring a variety of other Sundanese arts brought by a group of local children.
